I miss:

  • Taking notes in my script
  • Setting up for rehearsals
  • Figuring out how to fit all set furniture and props backstage
  • Being in charge
  • Talking theater
  • Being stressed out over a performance
  • Having everything work out

I miss Stage Managing. I want nothing more than to drop by the high school and help out and teach, but that’s just weird. I don’t want to do community theater here because it’s filled with old people. I want to double major in theater and marine science, but then again, I don’t want to go crazy. I want to do both of these things in my life, but I feel the only way I’d be satisfied with doing theater is by traveling with a company. I’m too grounded to travel like that for years at a time. I’d miss my home. I just wish I had all of the time in the world to be a marine biologist and an equity stage manager. I want this to work out…
